Technology A Top Priority For Jobseekers

British workers are now putting technology high on their wish lists when it comes to looking for a new job...

The survey of 2,001 British adults carried out by technology e-tailer LaptopsDirect.co.uk found that more than half feel that the standard of technology is a key consideration for accepting a new job role.

In fact, more than 1 in 3 of those surveyed said they would decline a job based on poor hardware alone.

74% believe technology makes them more productive at work, which is why it is so important when looking for a new role.

Having the latest technology was valued more than other office perks, such as:

• flexible working (45%)
• the working environment/decor (39%)
• staff discounts (33%)
