FRS Man Takes On Stand Up Comedy Challenge

March 19, 2018

FRS Regional Director Paul Lewis joins other exceptionally daring, business individuals who will be performing a live, original, five-minute stand up comedy routine in front of their colleagues, clients, friends and family, in a bid to be crowned the second ever ‘Wolverhampton Stand Up Challenge Champion’.

Having signed up to months of secret preparation and training, the daring, unwitting 2018 Wolverhampton Stand Up Challenge participants are revealed for the first time - in full dramatical, spectacular style - as being:

  • Paul Lewis, Forces Recruitment Services
  • Sarah Bishop, Recruit Recruit
  • Julian Britton, Molineux Stadium
  • Kim Izzard, Brookstreet
  • James Thomas-Horton, Casino 36
  • Iain Watkins, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

Paul Lewis said: “I am ex-Army-turned-business owner, that works extraordinarily long hours in a bid to help ex-Forces personnel gain employment. My life is all ex-Forces and going to Barmouth to relax.

“I have never done anything like this before and actually, I don’t think I am funny. But I do like a challenge -  and quite frankly, just seeing my face on stage will probably make everyone laugh.”

It’s not all in vain because, at the same time, the whole evening is raising money for a great charity – the Big Difference Company – a midlands based organisation that is committed to life changing schemes and projects.

Tickets to the event are available to buy at http://bit.ly/SUCWolves2018 for anyone wishing to spend an evening laughing at the unsuspecting contestants. Hosted by a secret, undisclosed, celebrity comedian, the evening certainly promises to be a night of extreme entertainment.

The Stand Up Challenge is sponsored by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, the Black Country Business Festival and the Molineux Stadium and is presented by Associate Events Ltd.

Tickets and further details are available on the Stand Up Challenge website and the Calendar of Events section on the Black Country Business Festival website.
