Job Summary

We are proud to be working with a well-established outdoor training and fitness provider seeking to recruit ex-military personnel into their established social fitness company. Building on 10 years of success and a proven business model, our client is now seeking to partner with motivated and ambitious ex-forces personnel who would like to work for themselves, build a successful training business, enjoy the outdoors and are friendly and sociable. Building on 10 years of success and a proven business model, our client is now seeking to partner with motivated and ambitious ex-forces personnel who would like to work for themselves, build a successful training business, enjoy the outdoors and are friendly and sociable.

What we are looking for in a Franchisee?

We are looking for individuals who:

* Will commit to following the business model provided (this will give you the best chance of success);
* Have an interest in fitness, health and wellbeing, and are passionate about owning and growing a business;
* Are organised. This is not simply a job; you will be a business owner responsible for your business' growth by ensuring members are satisfied and trainers are in the right location at the right time;
* Are numerate and capable of planning and managing their business financial accounts;
* Are people focused - our client is all about their members and as long as they are happy, our client is happy! You need to be sociable and be able to have people buy into you and the social aspects of the business;
* Are committed. Even by following the business model, success won't happen overnight. It's built over time and with commitment;
* Are grafters. Although there is flexibility in the business model, there won't be set holidays/days off. This is not a 9-5, Monday to Friday job;
* Have managerial skills. You won't be able to do this all by yourself, you'll likely need to manage freelance trainers and as you grow, other support staff.

Skills & Experience

Although it can be a benefit to hold a fitness qualification or to have experience in the fitness industry, it is not an essential requirement to be able to make the franchise a success. Success is more a result of transferable skills and qualities such as attitude, commitment, drive, passion and social and interpersonal skills. The business model is designed to enable you to recruit all the trainers you need and for you to be profitable.

Having said that, we would always encourage and support franchisees to take a L2 fitness or sports coaching qualification so you understand more about the exercise we offer (your local sports club, hockey, rugby, triathlon or football club will offer appropriate qualifications, normally over a few weekends). Moreover it will help make your business more profitable because you will be able to take sessions and not need to pay as many trainers. It also offers a level of resilience as you will be able to provide cover if a trainer is unable to attend e.g. due to illness.
