EB5591: Multi-Skilled Engineer (s) (Electrical Bias)

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Dudley, West Midlands

Position: Permanent (Continental Shifts)

We are looking to recruit Multi-Skilled Engineer (s) who are electrical bias to work within the Maintenance Department and to provide timely support to production to keep the machinery running. Proactive maintenance is an essential part of this role. This Multi-Skilled Engineer shall be based at the company's location in Dudley and is a leading UK manufacturer. As a British, family owned and managed business, this client values our dedicated and loyal workforce and invest heavily in the very latest technologies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* To carry out scheduled preventive maintenance checks and procedures, record and report any adverse symptoms or trends.
* To undertake allocated maintenance activities.
* To respond to and assist with breakdown/emergency situations on any item of plant or equipment as necessary.
* To carry out diagnostic checks on faulty plant and equipment and strip down, replace/repair and re-assemble as necessary.
* To correctly interpret electrical drawings and work from hand sketches / verbal instructions to carry out repairs and maintenance.
* To use hand tools and equipment correctly and safely for carrying out maintenance activities.
* To use measuring equipment and instruments for installation or modification of plants and equipment and for calibration of plants, equipment and controls as necessary.
* To correctly and safely use lifting equipment for handling materials, components and items of plants and equipment.
* To use the correct handling techniques when handling materials and equipment.
* To co-operate with departmental colleagues on all aspects of departmental activities and practical/ technical problem solving.
* To ensure the secure, safe storage of materials and equipment at all times.
* To report any malfunctions of plant of equipment to the Shift Supervisor.
* To act in accordance with instructions from the Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Manager and use own initiative for action as appropriate.
* To report any hazardous procedures / malpractice's or unsafe actions / activities to the Maintenance Manager.
* To maintain the work area in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times.
* To maintain all plant and equipment maintenance records up to date
* To undertake PAT Testing as and when required.

Key Skills and Candidate Requirements:

* Worked in foundry environment
* Electrical 17 th Edition
* Good communication skills
