FRS and Dudley Council Sponsor Armed Forces Day
Forces Recruitment Services (East Birmingham) have teamed up with Dudley Council for this year's forth coming event of Armed Forces Day, which will be held at the prestigious Himley Hall and Park on Sunday 29th June to celebrate the work of servicemen and women. This year is a very special event, as it celebrates 100 years of World War One.
The event will run from 11am to 5pm and will include a presentation of Veterans Badges to the Armed Forces Veterans; this will be done by the Mayor of Dudley and a very special VIP Guest. The day will also include a band concert, a youth marching band competition and a display of historic military vehicles. There will be a very special performance by the D-Day Darlings and the spectacular Beating of the Retreat will close the event. Other special activities will commemorate the centenary of the start of World War One.

Paul Lewis, Regional Director for Forces Recruitment Services (East Birmingham), said: "Being an Ex-Forces man myself, it's not just a pleasure but a privilege to be part of this day, when the whole of the country will come together to celebrate our servicemen and women. Being able to sponsor this event gives me great pleasure and pride."
