Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, Veterans and cadets.

There are a great many ways in which people, communities and organisations across the country can show their support and get involved; from attending an event or joining in online to throwing a party or local event.

Armed Forces Day celebrations begin on Monday 25th June when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country. Reserves Day on 27th June will also provide an opportunity for the country to recognise our Reserve Forces.

The National Event in 2018 is being held in Llandudno, North Wales and local events will be taking place across the UK.

Graham Brown, Managing Director of FRS, commented: "I believe that Armed Forces Day is a great opportunity to appreciate and recognise our military personnel, past and present, but we can go further by educating civilian employers on the excellence and transferability of military skills and experience.

"When the time comes for men and women to leave the Services, it is right and proper that they should transition into a career that befits both their abilities and their service to Queen and country."
