As an ex-military recruitment specialist, we speak to many ex-forces jobseekers who take the daily commute for granted, as travelling long distances - and being away from home for extended periods of time - have often been a regular part of their military life.
However, the question is now - just how sustainable is the long commute and what impact does it have on our wellbeing and mental health? Military folk are robust individuals who have been trained to persevere and endure but everyone has limits and part of adjusting to civilian life and employment is learning to adapt to the 'new norm'.
