Forces Recruitment Services (East Birmingham) specialise in placing Ex-Military candidates into Civilian Employment. This includes members of the Armed Forces that are currently leaving, as well as those who have already left.
Paul Lewis - Regional Director
Paul joined the Army in 1989 and served in many roles, including being a member of the Adjutants General Corps where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. Paul served in many places around the world including the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, and Germany and has been on Operational Tours to Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Iraq.
Having been medically discharge from the Army unexpectedly, Paul decided to look for a new career direction that still maintained a link with the Armed Forces whilst giving him the opportunity to take control of his own destiny by being his own boss.
Paul’s 21 year service history with the Army has given him not only an excellent background of working in a demanding role but also a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills that he has been able to carry forward into his role as Regional Director of Forces Recruitment Services (East Birmingham). Being highly motivated and self driven are key attributes that Paul uses to carry his business forward and make it a success.
Paul feels that his own knowledge of the military and the resettlement process enable him to find the right candidates for the right clients. Coupled together with good knowledge of how trades and skills transfer from the military to the commercial market, Paul is confident that the FRS (East Birmingham) office will be able to provide a first rate service to both candidates and clients.
Terry Caudwell - Associate Director
Terry joined FRS in July 2015, after spending over 20 years working within a variety of recruitment sectors, from industrial, engineering, FMCG and sales, working on both contract and permanent roles, which helped him develop his skills within both the industrial and commercial recruitment arena.
After spending 12 years in a senior manager's role within one of the UK’s largest recruitment business, dealing with both SME’s and multinational blue chip clients for all their recruitment activities, Terry has amassed a particular specialist understanding of both engineering and manufacturing process technical staffing requirements
Realising that there was a current - and foreseeable - shortage of good quality engineering candidates, coupled with the automotive manufactures insatiable appetite and demand for large numbers of engineers, Terry was prompted to set up his own recruitment company in 2014 and it was only after meeting with Paul Lewis and the other Directors of FRS at a business seminar in 2015 that realised the contribution that ex forces engineering personnel could bring to the marketplace and this subsequently lead to the opportunity to join FRS as an associate director.
