HQ5399 Sales and Logistics Coordinator

Location: Brandon, Suffolk

Salary: £30,000

An exciting opportunity has become available to work for a prestigious and reputable manufacturing company which supplies the housing and construction market with a range of sustainable concrete blocks and masonry products, utilising high levels of recycled material.

As a Sales and Logistics coordinator, you will take sales inbound enquiries, support the Transport Manager in scheduling deliveries, booking drivers, customer liaison and product scheduling.

Applications from Ex-Military Personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged

Key responsibilities;

* Work closely with the wider sales, transport, yard and production teams to help manage the smooth running of day to day activities of the Sales Office and maximise the efficiency of the sales order and delivery process
* Build strong business relationships with Customers and Hauliers
* Liaise closely with customers, process sales orders and quotes and resolve day to day issues.
* Provide support to help schedule loads for delivery and ensure that delivery priorities are maintained and revised to suit customer needs.
* Provide support to the Sales Office Supervisor and Transport Manager and cover when they are out of the office.
* Assist with transport administration

Key skills and Qualifications;

* Excellent communication and people skills being able to cultivate strong business relationships on multiple levels
* Experience of working within a Logistics/Transport function with an ability to listen to customers' needs and provide sales support as required by the Transport Manager
* Knowledge and understanding of customer service and logistics processes
* You must be numerate as this position requires involvement in the calculation of prices, weights and haulage rates.
* Safety conscious with a knowledge of the transport operations and route planning
* You must be detail conscious and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
