Job Summary

This position is with a world leading solutions provider within the defence, aerospace, maritime, oil and gas industry delivering high performance maritime surveillance solutions under extreme conditions. For this position the typical clients include port authorities, maritime coastal organisations and offshore operators. Due to UK expansion, the client wishes to recruit an ITIL or Cisco qualified Managed Services Coordinator to coordinate UK service engineers in the roll-out of new solutions and then management of faults/incidents once the solution has been commissioned. This position is with a small, friendly but dynamic UK team and will suit someone who is prepared to travel within the UK and Europe. Detailed Job Description

Key Responsibilities

* Customer liaison and resolution of Events, Incidents and any customer issues using Remedy
* Technical support for software (e.g. VMware), Relational databases (such as Microsoft SQL Server), operating systems (e.g. Windows and Linux) and LAN/WANs
* Report and invoice production
* Delivery of operational and technical customer training
* Coordination of customer installation and commissioning activities
* Coordination of reactive and proactive customer maintenance
* Provision of technical support service for marine sensor solutions
* Sales and marketing technical solutions support
* Contribute to customer support meetings
* Member of the 24 hour remote support service roster
* Member of the 24 hour on-site support service roster
* Member of the weekend standby roster
* Scrum meetings administrator

Person Specification:

A positive, reliable and practical team-player who is results oriented with excellent communication skills. You will need to be well-organised, thorough, disciplined with a rigorous and structured approach to incident/event management. A helpful attitude, polite telephone manner and ability to offer technical advice over a variety of media are also required attributes.

Essential

* ITIL Practitioner

Desirable

* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
