Job Summary

A dynamic and proactive Maintenance Project Manager is sought for an established and highly successful industrial glazing company. It would be beneficial if the Maintenance Project Manager has previous experience working within the bespoke industrial glazing industry and thrive working on challenging roles that focus on re-glazing of existing structures in sometimes demanding locations. The Maintenance Project Manager must enjoy the thrill of working to deadlines and making preparations for successful installation within a specific window of time on a particular day. The Maintenance Project Manager will work closely with the Sales Department, liaising with them once contracts have been won devising the operational strategy and method statements to deliver the project to point of completion.

Detailed Job Description

A dynamic and proactive Maintenance Project Manager is sought for an established and highly successful industrial glazing company. It would be beneficial if the Maintenance Project Manager has previous experience working within the bespoke industrial glazing industry and thrive working on challenging roles that focus on re-glazing of existing structures in sometimes demanding locations.

The Maintenance Project Manager must enjoy the thrill of working to deadlines and making preparations for successful installation within a specific window of time on a particular day. The Maintenance Project Manager will work closely with the Sales Department, liaising with them once contracts have been won devising the operational strategy and method statements to deliver the project to point of completion.

The Maintenance Project Manager will make client and site visits, order materials, determine the methodology to work to on site, identify work force and machinery plus produce necessary risk assessment and associated safety documents. Previous experience as a Building Manager, Facilities Manager or Buildings Maintenance would be highly relevant and of interest. The successful candidate will benefit from comprehensive job specific training over the first six months of their employment. This role does require travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee projects from initial order to completion
* Devise risk assessments and method statements
* Identify materials, plant and workforce for each project
* Evaluate the site and existing glazing plus access to the site for required plant
* Prepare survey reports utilising the skills and expertise of the team Administrator
* Ensure health and safety legislation is upheld, planned for and followed
* Work with clients to establish and foster strong working relationships
* Work within budgets to ensure profit for the company on successful completion of each project
* Organise and prioritise autonomously

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

IT literate

Previous experience working within the industrial glazing systems industry

Experience of managing glazing installation teams

Desirable:

CSCS card

SMSTS or SSSTS card
