Job Summary

The Programme Manager will lead a team that will provide electronic and software solutions for the Group's other businesses and should, therefore, work to formal processes e.g. IEC61508, ARP 4761 etc. under a highly structured quality system. The team will develop alongside the Group's Bristol based business, taking maximum advantage of process, infrastructure and quality management synergies.

BS4528: Programme Manager

Salary: £ 45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Location: Bristol

Position: Permanent

Due to expansion, a family owned German Group, with offices in the UK, specialising in mechatronic systems, mostly for industrial applications, but with significant interests in the aerospace, military and oil and gas industries, is now looking for a Programme Manager to head up a new small specialised team. The Programme Manager will lead a team that will provide electronic and software solutions for the Group's other businesses and should, therefore, work to formal processes e.g. IEC61508, ARP 4761 etc. under a highly structured quality system. The team will develop alongside the Group's Bristol based business, taking maximum advantage of process, infrastructure and quality management synergies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for building an integrated team with German colleagues.
* Bringing the new team together, including with existing Bristol employees.
* Set up the infrastructure for the team to operate.
* Ensure delivery of electronic and software based system designs to German colleagues, who will produce the items.
* The day-to-day management of the team.
* Some travel to Germany is expected.

Qualifications / Experience:

* A technical education, probably to degree level.
* Experience of managing complex electronics projects with several stakeholders.
* Be able to build the team from the ground up, including integrating processes compatible with German colleagues, whilst ensuring successful delivery of its start-up projects..
