Job Summary

A Projects and Services Director is required to manage the on time, in full and on budget delivery of all projects of the company, ensuring correct and commercial management of all resources including engineers (employed), engineers (Sub-contract), suppliers and third party providers.

Detailed Job Description

A Projects and Services Director is required to manage the on time, in full and on budget delivery of all projects of the company, ensuring correct and commercial management of all resources including engineers (employed), engineers (Sub-contract), suppliers and third party providers.

The Projects and Services Director is to play an active role in the sales function of the business with specific emphasis on attending trade shows, working with clientele as directed by the business and to work with the Sales Director in certain sales opportunity conversions and to assist with general estimating of jobs.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan all projects for delivery
* Identify any risks to project delivery and act accordingly
* Liaise internally and externally with employees, sub-contractors and sub-contract companies to ensure successful delivery of projects to cost
* To manage the procurement of all materials and products to ensure all in place for the start of individual projects
* To actively look to reduce costs of project delivery by new ways of working
* Maintain a focused performance drive to meet targets and coordinate engineering projects and installations
* Provide technical assistance and product support to engineers and sub-contractors
* Influence engineers to work effectively in a team and ensure they meet their own targets within end project timeframes.
* Monitor and check quality of work
* Attend weekly progress meetings with Sales Team and customer update information.
* Produce financial reports on projects
* Monitor employee hours and subcontractor invoices
* Represent the company at Road Show and sailing events promoting the business
* Work with the board directors on certain sale opportunities within the business
* Identify, where time permits future sales opportunities within current and new clients as directed by the SD and as time permits
* Provide additional support to the SD and BDM in terms of estimation and technical input on all activities as necessary

* Must possess several years sales management experience within the marine industry

* Knowledge of the Marine industry

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000
