BS4059: Electrical Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing

Location: Wrexham, Denbighshire

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: circa £33k (annual salary plus shift allowance), plus Overtime and Benefits

BACKGROUND

The world's largest manufacturer of high-technology cables and systems for energy and telecommunications is currently seeking electrically biased multi-skilled Maintenance Technicians to join their team. Candidates should be flexible, and have a willingness to work overtime, which will be a regular requirement of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planned, Preventive Maintenance.

Corrective Maintenance.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives.

Project Work.

SHIFT PATTERNS

2 Shift

Monday to Friday

7:00am to 3:00pm for 3 days and then 2:00pm to 10:00pm for 2 days. Following week 2 earlys then 3 lates. The pattern then reverts and continues.

Basic £25,825

Shift £2,790

Total £28,615

5 Team Pattern

2 days on, 2 nights on then 4 days off. After every 7 shifts then individuals have an 18 day break. Annual leave is roistered into this shift pattern.

Basic £27,430

Shift £6,030

Total £33,460

The 2 shift pattern is seen as an induction and training period and candidates will only do that for 2 to 3 weeks before they transfer over to the 5 team pattern, which will be their permanent work pattern.

Candidates should be flexible, and have a willingness to work overtime, which will be a regular requirement of the role.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Completed a recognised, certificated electrical apprenticeship.

Educated to HNC standard or equivalent.

Ideally, experience in an industrial maintenance field, including fault finding on electronic drive and PLC control systems.

Self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.

Works well under pressure.

Practical approach.

Team player.
