MCT British Legion Building Futures Programme

The Millwall Community Trust (MCT) Building Futures Employability course, in association with Royal British Legion, is targeted at individuals who are currently out of full-time work or education, on Job Seekers Allowance (do not have to be on JSA) and are ex-service men or women... 

The course looks to give participants essential skills, experience and qualifications to get a job within the construction industry. Qualified MCT Tutors will deliver Employability sessions based on Interview Techniques, CV Writing and Job Applications. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in work placements through our links with Stepahead and Flower Skills, specialists in construction training. Finally, participants will gain qualifications in CITB Health and Safety, Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and First Aid.

Millwall Community Trust have already delivered construction courses with men and women aged over 50+ where all participants were able gain valuable experience and necessary qualifications, with some moving on into full-time employment.
