FRS Friday: Meet Graham - FRS Managing Director

We keep telling you that the FRS team includes some of the most interesting and dedicated people you'll ever meet. It's true!

Today we're featuring Graham Brown, Founder and Managing Director of Forces Recruitment Services Ltd. The only difficulty was getting him to sit still long enough to answer all the questions!!

Q. How did your childhood prepare you for your job today?

A. I'm very lucky to have a solid family foundation, which reflects what I'm currently building at FRS. It’s important to the whole FRS team that we bring people into the business with the right values so we can enjoy a good symbiotic relationship.

Q. What's your dream occupation -- the one job you'd love to have if you weren't doing what you're doing now?

A. A film composer!

Q. Describe your first car and what you loved or hated most about it.

A. A Ford Escort. It was slow but faster than my 80cc Yamaha Beluga, and it was mine!

Q. What are your hidden talents that most people don't know about?

A. I spend much of my spare time as a vocal coach and Musical Director of a theatre performance group, essentially improving standards and preparing them for drama school (The picture shows Graham conducting Sweeney Todd last year with the Viva Theatre Group.)

Q. What one accomplishment are you most proud of?

A. My daughter, Olivia. She’s perfect.

Q. What embarrassing mistake have you made that has taught you a lesson?

A. None that I can put in writing!

Q. What's the most unusual item in your desk drawer?

A. A very small pair of ruby slippers from our production of Wizard of Oz last year

Q. What's your favourite sports team and how far will you go to show your support?

A. Sports team? Shouldn't that be football team? There only is one sport. Liverpool. As for support...does kitting my daughter out in strip, scarf, hat, nappy, slippers and cardboard stadium count?

Q. Share something funny or endearing about your pet.

A. It’s deed (Scottish accent!) so we re-turfed the grass it used to chew in memory. RIP Lady Felicity Muffington-Gimp aka our bunny rabbit.

Q. What's your guilty pleasure?

A. Xbox although don’t get as much time on it as I would like

Q. What makes you go Ahhhhh?

A. My family. I love family days out and capturing the look on all of our faces – the likes of Peppa Pig world (it’s more fun than one might think).

Q. How do your friends describe you?

A. Focused and driven

Q. Who's your best friend and why?

A. My Wife Lisa, who gets me and keeps my heart beating at the right pace. Aside from her, Geoff Meads always has my back and is a kindred musical spirit.

Q. What's on your Bucket List?

A. Turn FRS into a multi-million pound business by 2020. Go to Rome & Hawaii & buy a DB10.
