46 Miles: A Journey of Repatriation and Humbling Respect

A respectful and moving tribute to British service personnel comes in the form of a new book ‘46 Miles’ by a former army Corporal and now retired Police Constable, Jarra Brown.

In author Jarra Brown’s own words, “The book is about the repatriation of 345 British service personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan whose bodies were repatriated to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire, shortly after each coffin passed in cavalcade through the town of Wootton Bassett.  ‘46 Miles’ pays tribute to those of our forces who fell in modern conflict and to a town determined they will never be forgotten.”

You cannot fail to be moved by this book. Written with the utmost respect and compassion for each of the fallen service men and women that passed along the 46 mile journey from RAF Lyneham, through Wootton Bassett to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

'46 Miles' is available to buy in hardback from the Royal Marines Shop and from all other reputable book shops.
