How has Forces Recruitment Services helped Job Seekers?
Why not ask our previous candidates?
Since 2001, Forces Recruitment Services has assisted thousands of candidates to find new careers in the civilian sector. Below are just a few statements we've received over the years.
Overall experience was outstanding. I would strongly recommend any of my friends to your company
Placed as an Instructor - Belfast
Sincere thanks for the major part FRS played in me obtaining my recent new role.
Right from the start, before and after my first and second interviews, and after I was offered the position, FRS' attention to detail and excellent customer service were huge factors in me getting this role. Your advice, which enabled me to prepare well for each stage of the process, meant that I could attend each interview confident that I would make the impression needed to get the job.
Once I was offered the role, the assistance didn’t stop there. Guidance with finding accommodation helped me find a place in a good area and whilst I doubt that you could, or even should, provide this additional assistance to all your customers, for me it was just further evidence of you going above and beyond.
The highest compliment I can pay to FRS is that in the future, when either I need a new role or I am in a role and I need to interview people for a position, then I will contact you every time.
I would be hard pressed to find better service and assistance from any other agency.
Placed as a Bid Manager - West Midlands
Very pleased with FRS. I have also recommended FRS to colleagues who are approaching the end of service.
Placed as a Senior Maintenance Manager in Coventry - Ex WO1 RLC
FRS set up all my interviews and did a cracking job. I found FRS to be one of the most proactive agencies I have used
Placed as a Telecommunications Programme and Project manager -Ex-Army Officer
I would like to add a big thank you to FRS who not only saw my potential but the effort which was put in to help me get this wonderful opportunity was much appreciated. Time was taken to look at my CV and help me see I was missing a big chunk of my experience of being in the Royal Air Force. I was then put at ease by going through a mock telephone interview to give me the confidence to have my first ever telephone interview with a company.
FRS were there to provide support and information when invited for my interview and when unable to attend the interview organised one for the Friday. Then, most of all, on successfully being selected helped to sort out my contract so I could take this wonderful opportunity.
I am very grateful to both FRS for all the support you have shown me and feel I have gained a friend for life.
Placed as a Non-Destructive Test Engineer in the Isle of Wight - former Chief Technician
I first came across FRS when I decided to have a change in career. Coming from a self-employed background, I found it more difficult than I had anticipated to get interviews to become an employee again.
Having been in contact with many recruitment consultants along the way and applying for numerous jobs, I have to say, I didn't have much faith in them. Lack of communication and feedback were some of the common issues that I came across. Thankfully, FRS restored my faith in those who help others find work, he is professional, approachable and makes sure you are kept up to date with developments.
I was pleasantly surprised that I could get hold of FRS easily, and even when I needed to leave a message, they always made sure I got a call back quickly, which really gave me confidence in the service.
One of the other plus points for me was the attention to detail. I was given full instructions verbally as well as follow-up by email of where I needed to be, when and who to ask for, what to expect, and even down to small detail, such as who to call if I couldn't gain access to the building, as my interview was out of office hours. There was nothing I needed to concern myself with, I just needed to turn up and concentrate on performing well at the interview. .
I couldn't recommend FRS highly enough, there were absolutely no negatives in using the service, and I got the first job I applied for with them.
Placed as a Machine Operator
I would like to take this opportunity to thank FRS for all their hard work in finding me the position of fabrication shop foreman. Not only was I contacted immediately after every job I applied for on the FRS website to acknowledge my application and talk me through any selection processes, (a courtesy that many other recruitment agencies did not extend) but FRS also actively sought out jobs that suited my skill set and contacted employers on my behalf to recommend me for the positions.
It was this proactive approach that led to me being placed in my current position. FRS approached my new employer, with my full consent, having recognised the qualities on my CV that come from a 22 year career in the British Army.
During the various stages of application and interviewing for my new position FRS kept in constant contact with both me and my potential employer, guiding me through the whole process and answering all of my questions along the way.
Having spent over eight months searching for a job after the engineering company I was previously employed with closed down, I was placed in my new position within two months of first making contact via the FRS website. Because of this I would not hesitate to use the services of FRS in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend them both to any ex forces personnel who not only need a new job, but would like a whole new career that suits their training and experience.
Once again, thanks to all at FRS for all the help and guidance offered to me, and all the best for the Future.
Placed as a Fabrication Shop Foreman - ex Army (22 yrs)
I would like to thank you personally for all the assistance that you gave me in obtaining my current role. From your initial phone call, your enthusiasm buoyed me along the whole recruitment process. I was reassured by the conversations we had before and after both interviews and went in to each interview relaxed and confident.
Your professionalism throughout was a credit to Forces Recruitment Services, who I would wholeheartedly recommend to any company and Service leavers. In the current climate of redundancies across the forces it is good to know there are people like yourselves out there to assist in the transition to civilian employment.
I look forward to working with you to find suitable applicants for the positions I now need to get filled within my department.
Many thanks for your help in my recent successful job application. FRS carry out the extremely useful role of matching military skills to their civilian counterparts which is very difficult for someone who has very little knowledge of "civilian HR speak". Your help and assistance, along with words of encouragement, were gratefully received.
Placed as Logistics Manager - EX WO1 RLC
I would like to take this opportunity to thank FRS for their help during the recruitment period for my new job. In particular for the foundation work that was done for me during both the initial assessment and interview stages.
In particular how your consultant has dealt with me in the utmost professional way. The process when looking for a job can be very daunting and soul destroying but dealing with you made it a relatively painless process.
I would not hesitate in recommending Forces Recruitment Services in the future.
Placed in machining role
I joined the Army in 2003 and I have completed 3 Operational Tours, 2 to Iraq and 1 to Afghanistan. I served with the Royal Artillery for 11 years and I left the Army in December 2014, where I reached the rank of Lance Bombardier (LBdr). The reason for leaving the Army was that I was coming to the end of my contract, I felt that there was going to be difficulties finding employment and also adapting to civilian life. The other difficulty I thought I would find hard would be proving to potential employers that I was employable and have good qualities to bring to their company, I thought though they would be looking for experienced and highly qualified workers.
I chose Forces Recruitment Services as I was recommended them and also I have heard good things about them. Forces Recruitment Services helped me in many ways: they helped me find employment, but most of all they kept me updated through all stages from Application to Interview.
I would 100% recommend Forces Recruitment Services to any service leaver.
Ex LBdr (Placed as a Team Leader with specialist waste management company)
I would like to show my appreciation to Paul Lewis (West Midlands Office) and the Forces Recruitment Services crew. Paul has been instrumental in matching my qualifications and abilities to the needs of the employer, culminating in my successful appointment to a role. His professionalism, hard work and communication has been top notch and he has guided me through every step of what could have been a very difficult transition from military to civilian life.
I cannot thank Paul enough his hard work and dedication is second to none.
Mark Hopkins (MIET AfCGI)
I would like to show my appreciation to all the staff at Forces Recruitment (Cannock) for helping me secure a permanent job as a Gas Engineer.
After being out of work for 6 months from leaving the Army in March, I was losing hope and feeling quite demotivated. Thank heavens I come across FRS. Most hands on, proactive agency I have used. FRS managed to secure me a job after a week of being with this agency. The support and guidance from FRS was superb (first interview – smashed it and I couldn’t have done that without you guys). Where as other agencies had failed to get me back into work for 6 months.
I would strongly recommend this company to my colleagues who are approaching the end of their service. 10 out of 10 – again thank you for your dedication in getting me back into work in civvy street. Keep up the hard work!
James Lewis (Ex Soldier – British Armed Forces)
