Countries and roles available
We run expeditions 12 times throughout the year to Borneo, Costa Rica & Nicaragua and India. The time commitment is 8 -14 weeks for volunteer managers (25+) depending on the role you apply for and the length of expedition you go on. Volunteers work with young people from the host country and alongside local skilled workers on much needed community and environmental projects. We are looking for deputy programme managers, mountain leaders, medics, logistics staff, project managers, photographers, drivers, trekkers and more to help run our expeditions.
The benefits:
You’ll be making a genuine difference to host communities and environments - with a permanent field base in each country their staff are able to build long-term relationships with project partners to ensure the projects are worthwhile and sustainable
You get to explore off-the-beaten track because Raleigh gets into areas other tourists don’t have access to. For volunteer managers - you gain satisfaction from helping venturers on their way to being the best they can be, developing your own confidence and learning many new skills along the way.
Raleigh welcomes people from all backgrounds and nationalities, including the host country, so you’ll experience a unique exchange of cultures and make long-lasting friendships.
One thing is certain - there is no such thing as a typical day on a Raleigh expedition!
