With the upcoming Olympics as well as the increased awareness of the benefits of remedial soft tissue work we have developed the course to reflect client needs and future demands.
NLSSM specialises in training sports massage students to have the appropriate diagnostic and assessment skills that will enable them to treat minor soft tissue conditions and be able to determine appropriate referrals. As well as the foundational subjects and techniques, the following are included in the sports and remedial massage curriculum:
Gait analysis
Postural assessment skills
Stretching techniques
Soft Tissue Release
Muscle Energy Technique
Neuromuscular Technique
Positional Release
Connective Tissue Massage
Soft tissue injury and rehabilitation
Range of motion testing
Business Mastery (teaching the essentials of self employment & how to market your practice)
NLSSM teachers are highly qualified within their fields of expertise and are trained in the application of accelerated learning techniques thus ensuring students' skills are optimised. In order to give necessary attention and support, classes are kept small with one teacher to every 3-4 students.

The NLSSM course is a dynamic, exciting, continually evolving course run to extremely high standards by people who love what they do! I received generous support before, during and after the course. I never had to wait long for a response to my questions and felt very well looked after throughout. I thoroughly researched sports massage courses before enrolling with NLSSM and chose carefully. I'm happy to say I was not disappointed! I really can't stress enough the high quality of the teaching as well as the supportive and encouraging climate that exists for graduate NLSSM students.
