As a Field Engineer you should have an electrical/electronic qualification and experience in electro/mechanical fields together with excellent communication and customer skills. This position would ideally suit someone with an Armed Forces background. Applications from ex-military candidates are strongly encouraged.

Provide Comprehensive customer support for the range of products provided by the Company
Respond in a timely manner to reactive service calls advised to you by the Customer Service Dept (CSD).
Respond in a timely manner to planned maintenance calls advised to you by CSD.
Respond in a timely manner to installations advised to you by CSD.
Provide a professional courteous service whilst on customer's premises.
Complete and maintain all administrative documentation in allotted time, to ensure smooth data processing.

- Monthly: Timesheets, expenses (In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other tasks as may reasonably be required)
Accept direction from CSD on workload in order of importance and location.
To work on customer premises unsupervised in a professional courteous manner.
To work within a designated geographical area but be willing to travel within the UK as and when required.
Support exhibitions and demonstrations, setting up equipment and providing technical support.
Provide product training to internal and external customers on assigned systems.
Communicate clearly via PDA/telephone to CSD the current status of the daily scheduled work on a job by job basis.
Complete a full and detailed job sheet for each assigned job whilst on site, explaining and confirming the actions taken with a manager and obtaining their agreement by way of a signature on the PDA.
Return all job sheets daily in the postage paid envelope to CSD.
Maintain van stock inventory levels as per guidelines provided.
Have an awareness of financial implications of individual actions.
Feedback potential sales leads and/or serviceplan opportunities to CSD.
Attend relevant courses within the UK or abroad when required to maintain product knowledge.
Provide proactive feedback on department improvement.This position would ideally suit someone with an Armed Forces background.
