Possessing a record of working closely with employers to deliver high quality vocational training tailored closely to their needs, ATG Training requires an enthusiastic and highly motivated Multi-Skilled Engineering Instructor to join their team at the Future Centre based in Aylesbury.
This position would ideally suit someone with an Armed Forces background. Applications from ex-military candidates are strongly encouraged.
The Multi-Skilled Engineering Instructor will deliver Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Technology on a range of courses to HNC level in a workshop environment to apprentices. The main focus of the role will be maintenance and machining.
The Multi-Skilled Engineering Instructor must have good knowledge of:
Mechanical Principles
Applications of mechanical technology
Practical workshop disciplines - fitting, milling, turning
Maintenance
Electrical engineering
Fluid power
The following would also be useful:
CAD/CAM experience
Ability to use and train on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
The Multi-Skilled Engineering Instructor is expected to have:
Engineering Apprenticeship and education to HNC level
Maintenance and machining background
Experience of teaching young people
A teaching qualification, e.g. PGCE, Cert. Ed, DTLLES.
Salary for the role is between £25,000 pro-rata, c.£10,000 for 15 hours per week.
